Bank of America is hiring a Senior Engineer to lead the planning and buildout of the Global Markets Digital Asset infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in designing, managing platform & application dependencies, ensuring efficient use of environments, and delivering significant business outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Define and lead the engineering approach for complex features, ensuring consistency with the larger portfolio solution.
- Define the technology tool stack and evaluate new testing tools, frameworks, and practices.
- Enable teams with CI/CD capabilities and engage with technical stakeholders on pipeline efficiency.
- Guide teams on design and best practices for high code performance through pairing and code reviews.
- Provide end-to-end delivery of complex features and automation for single or multiple teams.
- Conduct research, design prototyping, and evaluate new toolsets for release management and CI/CD.
- Work with stakeholders to establish high-level solution needs and with architects for technical requirements.
- Collaborate with Global Markets Technology teams and business partners to define, build, test, and deploy platform requirements.
- Define and enforce standards and best practices related to platform management.
- Build platforms to meet scalability, resiliency, and performance requirements.
- Build a new digital asset platform and integrate with the enterprise platform by automating setup, installation, verification, monitoring, and provisioning.
- Plan and allocate environments to teams based on their delivery lifecycle.
- Analyze data to proactively identify and address environment-related issues.
- Work with project teams to manage costs and improve environment efficiency.
- Partner closely with Prod Support and Engineering to deploy and support applications.
What We're Looking For
- 7-10 years in a similar role, preferably within the financial industry.
- Prior experience designing, implementing, and maintaining end-to-end environments, from POC to production.
- Experience partnering with DevOps teams to secure deployment of blockchain nodes and supporting services.
- Experience with a mix of on-premises and cloud-based, containerized deployment models.
- Familiarity with no-SQL (MongoDB), databases, and various forms of Object, Vector, and file stores.
- Proficiency in scripting, SQL, and work scheduling tools.
- Experience setting up infrastructure monitoring and reporting.
- Knowledge of performance profiling and optimization techniques.
- Understanding of load balancing, high availability, and backup recovery strategies.
- Ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of audiences, from business stakeholders to developer teams.
- Meticulous, highly organized, and adaptable to shifting priorities.
- Skilled at delegating, mentoring, and setting expectations.
- Strong critical thinking skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Distributed Ledger Technology and smart contract languages.
- Proficiency in one or more functional programming languages.
- Professional or personal experience in DeFi markets.
