Schellman Compliance, LLC, a Great Places to Work certified company, is hiring a Senior Director, Corporate Development. In this strategic remote role, you will lead our mergers and acquisitions operations from initial strategy and market research through deal execution and integration, directly supporting the company's ambitious growth objectives.
What You'll Do
- Execute the firm's M&A strategy and conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform it.
- Lead the full M&A function from sourcing through post-acquisition integration.
- Research, identify, and establish a pipeline of potential targets that enhance our market position.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for M&A transactions and lead all negotiations.
- Develop the overall business case and secure internal approval for transactions.
- Oversee comprehensive due diligence processes, including financial, operational, and legal assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to lead transactions from initial analysis to deal execution.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in M&A or corporate development.
- Proven experience leading all M&A activities from sourcing and pipeline building through integration.
- Proven leadership experience within professional services or the cybersecurity industry.
- Strong knowledge and background in the professional services or CPA industry.
- Experience sourcing domestic and international M&A transactions, maintaining a pipeline, and developing strategies.
- Corporate finance experience and the ability to develop M&A valuation models.
Nice to Have
- MBA or advanced degree.
