Heidi Health is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure) to build and scale the cloud infrastructure that powers our healthcare AI platform. This role sits within the Engineering Platform team, where you’ll be responsible for reliability, automation, and developer productivity across AWS and Azure environments.
What You'll Do
- Build and improve compute platforms, including VMs, scale sets, AKS, and container runtimes.
- Implement and enhance Azure networking components like VNets, peering, Private Endpoints, DNS, and load balancing.
- Contribute to secure and scalable network topologies across environments.
- Implement agreed platform patterns and standards for compute and networking.
- Deliver platform infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred; Bicep/ARM acceptable).
- Improve automation and CI/CD pipelines for platform changes.
- Work with senior engineers to improve reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Participate in incident response and post-incident improvements.
- Work alongside senior platform engineers and architects on design and rollout.
- Support application teams consuming compute and networking capabilities.
- Contribute documentation, examples, and runbooks.
- Provide pragmatic feedback to help evolve platform standards over time.
What We're Looking For
- 3–7+ years of experience in cloud or platform engineering.
- Hands-on production experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Strong understanding of cloud compute and networking fundamentals.
- Experience working with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
- Familiarity with Azure networking primitives like VNets, NSGs, and private connectivity.
- Comfortable operating Linux-based workloads.
Nice to Have
- Experience with other cloud providers (AWS, GCP).
- Exposure to AKS or Kubernetes in production.
- Familiarity with multi-subscription or landing zone–style setups.
- Experience in high-availability or security-conscious environments.
