Responsibilities
- Design and optimize infrastructure for compute resources including virtual machines, scale sets, AKS clusters, and containerized environments
- Develop and manage Azure networking services such as virtual networks, peering connections, private endpoints, DNS configurations, and load balancing
- Help design secure and scalable network architectures across multiple environments
- Apply and refine standardized platform patterns for compute and networking components
- Provision and manage infrastructure through code using Terraform, with Bicep or ARM templates as alternatives
- Enhance automation workflows and CI/CD pipelines to streamline platform deployments and updates
- Collaborate with senior engineers to improve system performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
- Engage in incident response activities and contribute to post-mortem analyses and improvements
- Partner with platform architects and senior engineers on design and implementation of new platform capabilities
- Assist application development teams in utilizing compute and networking services effectively
- Create and maintain technical documentation, usage examples, and operational runbooks
- Provide practical input to refine and evolve platform standards, incident response practices, and service-level objectives
