Peek is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to build and scale our infrastructure-as-code platform, accelerating development and increasing reliability. In this role, you'll be instrumental in scaling our platform as the company grows, working in a remote-first environment.

What You'll Do

Build applications on top of Kubernetes and AWS, using Infrastructure-as-Code for nearly everything.
Automate self-service aspects of the SDLC and continuously improve observability through SRE practices.
Architect and design scalable and secure solutions, implementing robust monitoring and reporting.
Integrate security and compliance best practices, including PCI and SOC2, into workflows.
Be part of an on-call schedule and occasionally work outside normal business hours for infrastructure upgrades.
Mentor junior-level DevOps engineers, share knowledge, and build playbooks with design documentation.
Collaborate with various departments in a fast-paced, remote environment.

What We're Looking For

At least 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or Platform Engineer.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including troubleshooting cluster-related issues.
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python, with experience writing automation scripts for CI/CD pipelines.
Experience working with a major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Solid understanding of networking concepts (VPCs, DNS, TLS, load balancing, VPNs) and modern CI/CD systems.
Experience with high-level programming languages such as Python, Typescript, Go.
Strong ability to architect solutions from the ground up and plan implementation on tight deadlines.
Experience building Infrastructure following PCI and SOC2 best practices.

Nice to Have

Experience explicitly using AWS (Amazon Web Services).
Experience working with SQL-based databases.
Experience with data warehouses such as Redshift and BigQuery.
Experience with caching systems such as Redis.
Experience working with serverless platforms such as AWS Lambda, GCP Cloud Run.

You'll join a small DevOps team that supports the entire Engineering organization. The team owns all aspects of the SDLC, practices SRE, and collaborates with various departments.

Work Mode

This is a remote-first position open to candidates in San Francisco, New York, Austin, Nashville, Salt Lake City, Santiago, and Medellin.
