Flatiron Health is hiring a Senior Design Technologist to join our Design Systems team. You will help define how our products and tools should work, evolve the Design System, enable teams to create high-quality user-facing applications, and define front-end best practices for code that touches the lives of millions of cancer patients.
What You'll Do
- Shape the holistic vision of user interfaces across Flatiron products, focusing on consistency, scalability, and flexibility.
- Design and test modular, accessible UI components and patterns that reflect the Flatiron brand and solve diverse user needs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with designers and engineers to develop high-quality front-end code and maintain shared libraries and tools.
- Promote best practices through documentation, process improvements, and ongoing communication around the Design System.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience working as a hybrid product designer and front-end developer.
- Strong expertise in modern coding technology (React, Typescript, HTML/CSS).
- Comfortable working in Figma and designing UI.
- Detail oriented with an eye for consistency.
- Comfortable context-switching between different problems.
- Bring a systems approach to everything you do.
Nice to Have
- Experience contributing to design systems and component libraries.
- Familiar with accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Experience building products in healthcare.
