About the Role
The candidate will be responsible for managing deployment pipelines, troubleshooting production issues, and working closely with development and operations teams to ensure efficient and secure software delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain automated deployment workflows for production systems
- Monitor deployment health and system performance across environments
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve deployment-related incidents
- Ensure deployment processes comply with security and compliance standards
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues during and after software releases
- Optimize deployment speed and reliability with minimal service disruption
- Maintain documentation for deployment procedures and configurations
- Support on-call rotations for critical deployment events
- Implement rollback strategies for failed deployments
- Work with infrastructure teams to align deployment practices with platform capabilities
- Contribute to post-deployment reviews and incident analysis
- Enforce consistent deployment practices across multiple services
- Participate in capacity planning related to deployment infrastructure
- Integrate deployment tools with monitoring and alerting systems
- Evaluate new deployment technologies and methodologies
- Assist in scaling deployment systems for growing service demands
- Coordinate deployment schedules with cross-functional teams
- Ensure audit readiness for deployment activities
- Promote deployment best practices across engineering groups
- Maintain version control and change management protocols
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in a technical field
- Certifications in cloud or systems engineering (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer)
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems
- Background in financial or regulated technology environments
- Knowledge of service mesh technologies like Istio or Linkerd
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001
- Contributions to open-source deployment or operations tools
- Public speaking or technical writing in operations or deployment domains
- Leadership experience in mentoring junior engineers
