Branch Operations is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to provide independent data science, machine learning, and analytical insights using member, financial, and organizational data. You will support mission-critical decision making and marketing campaigns by creating descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive models.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and evaluate moderately complex predictive models and advanced algorithms
- Identify meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources
- Translate marketing concepts into machine learning solutions
- Test hypotheses and models, analyzing and interpreting results
- Develop and code moderately complex software programs, algorithms, and automated processes
- Use modeling and trend analysis to analyze data and provide actionable insights
- Develop an understanding of best practices and ethical AI
- Transform data into charts, tables, or other formats to aid effective decision making
- Build working relationships with team members and subject matter experts
- Lead small projects and initiatives
- Collaborate with multiple teams across marketing
- Utilize effective written and verbal communication to document and present findings to a diverse audience of stakeholders
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years of experience in exploratory data analysis and modeling
- Proficiency in programming, data modeling, simulation, and advanced mathematics
- Python (or PySpark) and SQL skills
- Model development experience
- Data storytelling and technical presentation skills
- Technical writing ability
- Working knowledge of procedures, instructions, and validation techniques
- Ability to collaborate and build relationships
- Technical skills in big data analysis, coding, project management, and technical writing
- Problem-solving skills that respond as issues are identified
- Basic understanding of business and operating environment
- Statistics knowledge
- Understanding of experiment design
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar quantitative field
Nice to Have
- Master's or PhD Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering
- Ability to translate marketing concepts into machine learning
- Pega experience, including marketing campaigns
- Model factory software experience (e.g., DataRobot)
- PowerBI or similar data visualization experience
- Databricks knowledge
