Grupo PiSA seeks a Senior Data Governance Expert to define, lead, and govern the institutional Data Governance strategy for Grupo Bolsa Mexicana de Valores. You will direct the comprehensive Data Governance Program at an organizational level, promoting the adoption of practices, roles, processes, and controls that strengthen data quality, integrity, and responsible use.
What You'll Do
- Define and lead the institutional Data Governance framework, establishing policies, standards, roles, and processes for comprehensive data management.
- Establish and direct the organizational data governance model, including defining roles like Data Owners and Data Stewards, as well as decision-making and coordination mechanisms.
- Lead governance and organizational coordination instances (e.g., Data Council), ensuring participation from business and technology areas in managing and prioritizing data-related initiatives.
- Define corporate policies and standards for metadata, lineage, quality, privacy, retention, access, and information security, ensuring their application in on-premise, cloud, and SaaS/PaaS environments.
- Ensure compliance with applicable data management regulations and standards, including LFPDPPP, financial regulations, ISO 27001/27701, SOX, and internal guidelines.
- Establish the institutional strategy for metadata management, data cataloging, and information traceability, ensuring visibility and control over the group's data assets.
- Define the corporate data quality framework, overseeing the implementation of controls, monitoring, and continuous improvement mechanisms.
- Coordinate with Technology, Information Security, Risk, and Compliance areas to define and implement controls for data protection, classification, and secure handling.
- Establish governance guidelines for data, analytics, and artificial intelligence platforms, ensuring data products meet quality, security, and traceability standards.
- Define data governance criteria in technological modernization and migration to cloud platforms, ensuring proper information lifecycle management.
- Define and track metrics for the Data Governance Program, evaluating its adoption and maturity level, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or Engineering in Systems or Technology.
Nice to Have
- Certifications such as DAMA International, CDMP, CDMP Data Governance Specialist, or SaaS Governance certifications.
Technical Stack
- Enterprise cloud solution architecture (AWS and hybrid).
- Data Lakehouse architectures in AWS.
- Knowledge of programming languages (JavaScript, Python, VBA, Java, SQL).
- Knowledge of integrating security controls and capabilities in on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
