Polly is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain the robust data infrastructure that powers our platform. You will be instrumental in creating reliable data pipelines and systems that enable data-driven decision-making.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines
- Architect and manage data warehousing and processing infrastructure
- Implement data quality frameworks and monitoring to ensure data integrity
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data needs
- Optimize data systems for performance and cost efficiency
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional data engineering experience
- Proven expertise in building and maintaining large-scale data pipelines
- Deep knowledge of SQL and experience with modern data warehouse technologies
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data architecture
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow or Dagster
- Background in stream processing technologies
- Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment
Work Mode
This is a hybrid role. You will be expected to work from our office in San Francisco, CA or Dallas, TX on a regular schedule.
