Hostaway is hiring a Senior Data Engineer, AI Team - 100% Remote - EMEA

Hostaway is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our AI Team. You will be responsible for laying the foundations of our data and AI stack, ensuring reliable data flow into features that directly improve the experience for property managers and guests. This is a 100% remote role for candidates in the EMEA region.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes to feed AI-powered features.
• Experiment with and implement LLM orchestration frameworks.
• Work closely with other product and platform teams to ensure smooth integration with existing systems.
• Develop and optimize embeddings, vector databases, and RAG pipelines.
• Establish best practices for data quality, observability, and performance in AI workflows.
• Support deployment of Python-based AI services into production.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years in data engineering, ideally in a SaaS environment.
• Experience with SQL, relational databases, and data modeling.
• Proficiency in workflow automation with tools like Airflow or Dagster.
• Familiarity with embeddings and vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, or FAISS.
• Exposure to AI frameworks for RAG or orchestration like LangChain.
• Comfort collaborating across teams and integrating data pipelines into larger systems.

Nice to Have

• Python skills, particularly with FastAPI, Pandas, or PyTorch/TensorFlow.
• Cloud experience with AWS or GCP.
