Grupo Pestana is hiring a Senior Data & Analytics Engineer to join its BI team. In this role, your mission will be to deliver data-driven insights that help the organization make informed decisions and achieve its strategic goals.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with business teams across the organization to understand data needs and deliver analytics solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures.
- Create and manage data models, databases, and data warehouses.
- Optimize and improve existing data systems for better performance and reliability.
- Implement data governance and security measures to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Develop Power BI dashboards and analytical reports to support decision-making.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to other team members.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in data engineering, analytics, and business intelligence.
What We're Looking For
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, Information Management, Statistics, or other relevant fields.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including partnering with business stakeholders.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Data Architect, and/or Analytics Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
- Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
- Familiarity with data governance and security best practices.
- Demonstrated experience with data visualization tools, namely Power BI.
Nice to Have
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with the Microsoft Azure stack; familiarity with Microsoft Fabric.
