Ford is hiring a Senior Cybersecurity Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Architect, deploy, and sustain security platforms and tools to safeguard corporate IT systems.
  • Enhance security technologies for real-time threat detection, prevention, and response.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, IT, and security teams to roll out and support large-scale cybersecurity solutions.
  • Defend internal and cloud-based AI, ML, and deep learning systems from cyberattacks, adversarial exploits, and data leaks.
  • Build and manage secure enterprise platforms such as unified telemetry pipelines, SIEM systems, SecOps environments, and AI-focused security infrastructure.
  • Establish and uphold security policies for AI systems, covering data integrity, model protection, and regulatory compliance.
  • Leverage recognized security frameworks like Google's SAIF, NIST AI RMF, and FAICP as foundational references.
  • Evaluate and reduce security risks unique to AI, including adversarial inputs, data poisoning, model inversion, and unauthorized access.
  • Perform vulnerability scans and penetration tests on AI models and associated data workflows.
  • Ensure encryption, anonymization, and secure storage of AI-related data.
  • Enforce strict access controls for sensitive AI assets using RBAC, ABAC, and Zero Trust models.
  • Safeguard AI models from tampering, theft, and manipulation during training and operational phases.
  • Monitor AI system behavior and log activity to detect anomalies and potential security events.
  • Create and implement governance policies ensuring AI systems meet legal, ethical, and internal standards.
  • Build automated scripts and workflows to improve scalability and efficiency of security platforms.
  • Oversee regular patching and updates of security systems to limit exposure and service interruptions.
  • Set up threat alerting mechanisms and real-time monitoring for improved system observability.
  • Collaborate with incident response units to detect, isolate, and resolve security breaches.
  • Support post-incident analysis to strengthen defenses and prevent recurrence.
  • Tune security platforms for optimal performance while adhering to compliance mandates.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, AI services, troubleshooting, and operational processes.
