About the Role

The role involves leading the development and optimization of control systems for manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, system integration, and supporting production efficiency through automation.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy control systems for manufacturing machinery
  • Develop and maintain PLC logic for automated processes
  • Create and update HMI interfaces for operator use
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on equipment integration
  • Diagnose and resolve control system failures
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards in control design
  • Support new production line installations
  • Optimize existing control architectures for performance
  • Document system configurations and changes
  • Lead root cause analysis for control-related downtime
  • Implement networked control solutions across facilities
  • Test control systems prior to production release
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers
  • Maintain version control for PLC programs
  • Assist in validation of control systems
  • Monitor system performance metrics
  • Integrate sensors and feedback devices into control logic
  • Support preventive maintenance for control hardware
  • Evaluate new control technologies for adoption
  • Ensure electrical and control systems meet code requirements
