Scotiabank is looking for a Senior Cloud Site Reliability Engineer Manager to be a key technical leader within our System Reliability Engineering team. Your mandate will be to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our critical applications and services on Google Cloud Platform. You will help build and guide a purpose-driven, high-performing team committed to results.
What You'll Do
- Lead and drive a customer-focused culture throughout your team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Design, build, and manage cloud infrastructure as code using Terraform to ensure consistent and repeatable environments on Google Cloud Platform.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python to streamline operational tasks, reduce manual intervention, and improve system efficiency.
- Engineer and implement secure, scalable, and resilient cloud networking solutions within Google Cloud Platform, including VPCs, firewalls, and load balancing.
- Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and efficient resource utilization.
- Implement and manage robust security controls and secret management strategies to protect sensitive data and infrastructure in the cloud.
- Champion and implement GitOps principles for continuous delivery, utilizing tools like Argo CD or Flux to manage application and infrastructure deployments.
- Drive the adoption and implementation of Site Reliability Engineering principles, including defining and monitoring Service Level Indicators and Service Level Objectives.
- Design, build, and optimize continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
