Kohl's is hiring a Senior Cloud Operations Expert (m/f/x) to help design and maintain a resilient, efficient, and secure hybrid cloud and on-premise infrastructure. This role supports our innovative energy trading technologies and requires occasional visits to our office in Vienna.
What You'll Do
- Be a key member of the cloud operations team, driving on-premise and AWS-based infrastructure services.
- Monitor system security, availability, and performance across platforms.
- Implement operational best practices for backups, disaster recovery, patching, and security hardening.
- Create and optimize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments.
- Collaborate closely with information security and software engineers in cross-functional teams.
What We're Looking For
- At least three years of experience in hybrid-cloud operations.
- Exposure to compliance and security frameworks (e.g., ISO27001, SOC 2).
- Solid understanding of networking, security groups, VPNs, and firewall configurations.
- Strong experience with Linux Server Administration and handling infrastructure as a service at hosting providers.
- Able to manage AWS-related services & technologies (VPC, ECS, RDS, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Experience with Infrastructure as code (e.g., AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Serverless Framework, AWS Copilot).
- Fluent in English.
- Detail-oriented and structured way of working, coupled with a hands-on mentality.

- Fortinet expertise is a plus.
