Responsibilities
- Oversees a high-volume caseload of intricate claims to assess liability and coverage eligibility.
- Leads end-to-end investigations of claims, evaluating coverage, fault, and damages through strategic coordination.
- Evaluates and negotiates settlements and reserve amounts within delegated authority parameters.
- May participate in legal proceedings including arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or court trials.
- Communicates complex claims and coverage details clearly to policyholders, claimants, and outside partners.
- Approves payments according to established authority limits, ensuring prompt disbursement.
- Ensures claim files are complete, accurate, and well-documented, including all correspondence and agreements.
- May supervise team members, providing coaching and contributing to hiring, development, and performance decisions.
- Completes additional tasks as required by management.
