Responsibilities
- Produce high-fidelity, production-ready creature characters based on concept art, reference materials, and written design guidelines.
- Sculpt, model, texture, and integrate creatures that fulfill artistic vision, gameplay function, and technical constraints.
- Partner with design and animation teams to ensure creatures communicate clear roles, readable silhouettes, and appropriate behavior cues.
- Collaborate with technical artists and engineers to optimize creature assets for performance in real-time multiplayer environments using Unreal Engine 5.
- Assist in shaping and improving pipelines, asset standards, and best practices for creature creation workflows.
- Develop a variety of creature types, ranging from streamlined, reusable enemies to high-impact hero or showcase characters.
- Balance artistic quality with production efficiency by selecting approaches that enhance speed, reusability, and visual impact.
- Support technical implementation including materials, shaders, modular components, and asset integration processes.
- Provide clear, actionable feedback to fellow artists to elevate overall team output and consistency.
- Maintain awareness of current trends in creature art, real-time rendering techniques, and new tools that boost quality and productivity.
