BD is looking for a Senior Category Manager – IT Infrastructure Services to develop and maintain global sourcing strategies and supply base governance for IT categories, including infrastructure, hardware, software, network, and telecom services. This strategic advisory role partners with IT, business, and regional stakeholders within a hub-and-spoke model to implement strategies that meet global needs.

What You'll Do

Lead strategic supplier management, including risk, performance, relationship, value delivery, and supplier development.
Guide global category teams in developing, communicating, and approving sourcing strategies that reflect regional requirements and market conditions.
Plan, negotiate, and contract with suppliers, ensuring agreements meet BD’s global needs—from small to large ($100M) service agreements.
Develop best-in-class multi-year roadmaps for savings, value creation, and innovation opportunities based on market intel and business needs.
Monitor internal customer and supply market changes impacting sourcing strategy.
Lead supplier selection, RFX development, proposal evaluation, and stakeholder approval, ensuring effective communication of supply base.
Execute supplier relationship management for key suppliers and oversee global supplier activities.
Apply source-to-pay processes, including customer-centric support and preferred payment methods.
Maintain stakeholder relationships globally.
Develop and maintain risk mitigation plans and ensure supply base compliance with corporate procedures and legal requirements.
Drive global category team effectiveness and mentor regional sourcing associates as needed.
Drive budget favorability by proactively identifying budget gaps and engaging stakeholders through strategic communications and consensus.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Minimum ten years of related work experience, including IT and BPO category strategy and execution.
Experience in strategic sourcing process, supplier management, negotiation, and cost management practices.
Knowledge of supply market, supply market research and analysis.
Experience in contract creation and management.
Ability to influence without direct authority.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proactivity and growth mindset to drive for results.
Strong problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

Proficiency in AI and newer technologies.
NAPM or APICS certification.
Experience in IT and Product development.
Knowledge of Lean, Process Effectiveness, and Product Development Process.
Project Management experience.
Knowledge of Regulatory Systems and Compliance including quality concepts.
