Braze is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join its Research and Development team. In this role, you will help build the platform for hiring the next generation of talent and contribute to the team's momentum as it enters a new phase of product expansion.

What You'll Do

Deliver high quality, well tested code that adheres to documented standards.
Work with Product and other engineers to shape the vision for new features.
Design architectural documentation to help guide future product development.
Partner with QA to ensure that everything we deliver is high quality.
Take initiative to resolve bugs and research issues as they arise.
Actively find new ways that we can leverage AI in the product, and in daily workflows.

Skilled in conveying complex ideas in a clear and understandable manner.
Demonstrates a profound understanding of software development concepts.
Able to balance flexibility and adaptability in the face of change.
Capable of engaging in discussions about trade-offs between various architectures or approaches.
Driven by a genuine passion for delivering an outstanding product.
Takes ownership of mistakes and learns from them.
Proven experience with technologies in our existing tech stack.
