MLabs is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer - Perps to integrate Hyperliquid's functionality into our unified API platform. This pure backend role focuses on building core infrastructure to distribute programmatic trading features across the DeFi ecosystem.

What You'll Do

• Extend the API stack to include Hyperliquid ecosystem projects and feature sets.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and backend engineers to improve integrations, routing, and user flows.
• Evaluate new opportunities for feature extensions within the ecosystem.
• Ensure robust, high-quality code with a focus on scalability and reliability for cross-chain trading.
• Participate in system design, documentation, and peer code reviews.

What We're Looking For

• Located within the EMEA region.
• Deep familiarity with Hyperliquid’s architecture, including builder codes (spot/perps), HIP-3, precompiles, and HyperEVM.
• Demonstrable interest in the Hyperliquid ecosystem through past projects or self-driven exploration.
• High proficiency in TypeScript for building scalable APIs and backend systems.
• Strong grasp of orderbook mechanics and experience working with programmatic trading features.
• Solid background in backend engineering, specifically with EVM and integration patterns.
• Ability to drive integrations and propose new features with minimal oversight in a remote-first environment.

Nice to Have

• Previous work with bridges and multi-chain infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Solana, Bitcoin, or mobile backend development.

• Compensation: $130K - $165K + equity participation from Day 1.
