About the Role
The role involves designing and maintaining backend services using Django, taking full ownership of features from concept to deployment, and collaborating closely with product and frontend teams to deliver reliable, high-performance systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable backend services using Django
- Own end-to-end development of critical platform features
- Collaborate with product teams to define technical requirements
- Optimize system performance and database efficiency
- Ensure code quality through testing and peer review
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly
- Maintain API documentation and developer tooling
- Implement robust security practices across services
- Monitor application health and system metrics
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical roadmap
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices
- Integrate third-party services and APIs
- Design and manage database schemas
- Support deployment pipelines and CI/CD workflows
- Enforce data consistency and integrity
- Refactor legacy components for maintainability
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies when beneficial
- Participate in on-call rotations for system reliability
- Ensure compliance with data privacy standards
- Drive automation of repetitive operational tasks
