ABBYY is hiring a Senior Backend Developer

Responsibilities

  • Develop and ship backend functionality using .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core) and Node.js with TypeScript
  • Produce robust, production-grade code with comprehensive testing, logging, and monitoring capabilities
  • Engage in architecture reviews and help shape system design strategies
  • Diagnose and fix issues related to performance, system reliability, and scalability
  • Deploy and manage services on Kubernetes, with knowledge of pod lifecycles, resource allocation, and deployment methods
  • Utilize cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, including managed services for storage, messaging, compute, and observability
  • Create and maintain services using Cloudflare Workers, leveraging Durable Objects, KV, R2, and Queues
  • Help build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployments to Kubernetes and Cloudflare environments
  • Take part in on-call schedules and respond to production incidents
  • Perform thorough code reviews that enhance code quality, efficiency, and long-term maintainability
  • Guide less experienced engineers through pair programming, constructive feedback, and technical mentorship
  • Actively engage in agile processes including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives
  • Encourage and responsibly integrate AI-powered development tools into engineering workflows
