About the Role
This role is responsible for driving data privacy compliance across the organization by evaluating risks, advising teams on regulatory requirements, and implementing privacy-by-design principles in business processes and technology projects.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate data handling practices to ensure alignment with privacy laws and standards
- Support the development and maintenance of data privacy policies and procedures
- Conduct privacy impact assessments for new products and system implementations
- Collaborate with legal, IT, and business units on cross-functional privacy initiatives
- Monitor changes in global data protection regulations and assess organizational impact
- Provide guidance on data subject rights fulfillment and related operational processes
- Assist in responding to data privacy incidents and breach notifications
- Maintain records of data processing activities across departments
- Lead privacy training sessions for employees and contractors
- Ensure third-party vendors comply with data protection requirements
- Advise product teams on embedding privacy controls into system design
- Track and report on privacy program performance metrics
- Support internal and external audits related to data privacy
- Develop documentation for data flows and processing activities
- Promote a culture of privacy awareness across the enterprise
- Work with compliance teams to address findings and remediate gaps
- Interpret regulatory guidance and translate into practical business actions
- Manage data retention and disposal compliance efforts
- Coordinate with international teams on regional privacy obligations
- Support the implementation of privacy-enhancing technologies
- Review contracts for data protection clauses and obligations
- Assist in managing data sharing agreements with partners
- Identify emerging privacy risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving privacy frameworks
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the organization’s privacy program
