About the Role

GE Aerospace is hiring a Senior AI Architect to lead the creation of transformative AI capabilities within our Supply Chain domain. You will architect scalable, secure, and high-performance AI, ML, and LLM solutions, integrating cutting-edge generative AI to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows, and solve complex campaign-level modeling challenges in the defense sector.

What You'll Do

  • Work with business teams, data scientists, and engineers to comprehend business objectives and define technical requirements.
  • Architect Generative AI solutions using techniques like retrieval augmented generation and transformer architectures for large-scale, intricate solutions.
  • Develop and implement applications using advanced Generative AI models such as OpenAI GPT 3.5/4.0, Anthropic Claude, Google PaLM 2, and Meta Llama2/Llama3.
  • Apply frameworks like LangChain and Llama Index for efficient indexing, retrieval, and chaining of language models.
  • Assess and choose suitable Generative AI technologies, tools, and frameworks for performance, precision, and scalability.
  • Oversee the fine-tuning and deployment of Large Language Models, ensuring compliance with top-tier practices.
  • Construct and sustain Generative AI workflows, incorporating stages like data cleansing, pre-processing, model training/fine-tuning, and feedback loops.
  • Evaluate Large Language Models and systems for optimal performance, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Conduct frequent code assessments and provide technical mentorship to less experienced team members.
  • Stay up to date on the latest trends in Generative AI and pinpoint opportunities for use within the organization.
  • Cooperate with infrastructure teams to guarantee seamless deployment and monitoring of LLMs in operational environments.
  • Document Generative AI design choices and technical specifications for reference and knowledge dissemination.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or STEM Majors from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of AI/ML/Software Engineering Development experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, or protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

Nice to Have

  • Ability to consult customer on alignment of outcomes and desired technical solutions at an enterprise level.
  • Ability to analyze, design, and develop a software solution roadmap and implementation plan based upon business needs.
  • Working knowledge of configuration choices and related cost implications; Experience with complex solution configurations.
  • Knowledgeable of full range of solution catalog within a business unit and able to discuss overall solution at depth.
  • Experience sustaining operational stability through various life cycle phases (planning, implementation, steady state, de-commissioning).
  • Ability to provision and budget via capital and operating.
  • Able to lead early-stage customer interactions and guide customers as they integrate with legacy tech investments.
  • Adept at navigating the organizational matrix; understanding people's roles, foresee obstacles, identify workarounds, leverage resources.
  • Understand how internal and/or external business model works and facilitate active customer engagement.
  • Able to articulate the value of what is most important to the business/customer to achieve outcomes.
  • Able to produce functional area information using presentation and storytelling concepts.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of full solution catalog within a business unit and proficiency in discussing each area at an advanced level.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of internal organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and/or lead blended teams, including 3rd party partners and customer personnel.
  • Demonstrated Change Management / Acceleration capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including creativity and curiosity with ability to effectively communicate and influence across all organizational levels.
  • Proven analytical and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to influence and build consensus with other Digital Technology teams and leadership.

  • Annual salary range: $131,000.00 - $175,000.00
