Responsibilities
- Assists in designing, setting up, and rolling out Workday features across Human Capital Management and associated modules such as Core, Absence, Time Tracking, Recruiting, Talent, and Compensation
- Analyzes current business workflows and suggests system improvements to simplify processes and enhance usability
- Creates and manages Workday components like business processes, computed fields, conditional logic, security roles, and integrations as assigned
- Collaborates with stakeholders to develop, manage, and resolve issues with API and SFTP integrations, including troubleshooting data transfers and building new connections
- Works closely with IT to create and carry out detailed test strategies for new functionalities, system updates, security patches, and Workday version releases
- Coordinates user acceptance testing with functional teams and oversees tracking, fixing, and verifying defects
- Maintains test documentation, scripts, and regression testing resources per IT direction
- Leads biannual Workday release cycles, including reviewing new features, testing in preview environments, assessing impacts, and planning deployments
- Collaborates with stakeholders to assess optional features and determine implementation approaches
- Supports change management procedures within Workday to uphold governance, recordkeeping, and quality benchmarks
- Ensures data integrity through regular audits, validation checks, and timely resolution of discrepancies
- Develops and manages complex Workday reports and dashboards to support informed decision-making
- Manages system security by maintaining proper role assignments, access permissions, and separation of duties
- Acts as a subject matter expert and advisor on HRIS matters for HR, Payroll, IT, and operational leadership
- Provides advanced-level support for system problems and user inquiries, diagnosing issues and proposing sustainable fixes
- Creates and delivers training content, job aids, and communications to help users adapt to new system features and processes
- Offers technical guidance and training to HR staff and end users, translating system capabilities into practical application
- Engages with the Workday user community to stay informed on emerging features and proactively suggest system upgrades
- Supports HR business continuity planning from an HRIS standpoint
- Collaborates with the FP&A Workday Adaptive System Administrator on leveraging human capital data
