Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of general ledger entries
- Manage accounts payable and receivable workflows
- Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts
- Support internal and external audit requests
- Maintain compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
- Identify and implement process improvements in accounting operations
- Oversee tax preparation and filing support tasks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve financial issues
- Ensure proper documentation for financial transactions
- Monitor and report on key financial metrics
- Administer fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules
- Support system upgrades and accounting software implementations
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff
- Develop and enforce internal controls
- Coordinate with external partners on compliance matters
- Review vendor contracts for financial implications
- Maintain records in accordance with retention policies
- Assist in merger and acquisition due diligence when required
- Ensure timely submission of statutory filings
- Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Provide financial insights to leadership for planning purposes
- Respond to financial inquiries from stakeholders
