HSBC Group is hiring a Senior Account Manager to join our Global Payment Solutions (GPS) team. In this role, you will be the single point of contact for a portfolio of Financial Institution, Multi-National Corporation, and Local Corporate clients, accountable for their global satisfaction with our cash management products and services. You will support the broadening and deepening of these relationships to drive commercial success, aligning with our purpose of opening up a world of opportunity.

What You'll Do

Manage the liquidity and cash management needs for your portfolio of clients, maintaining relationships with key Treasury and Finance stakeholders.
Accountable for the retention and growth of annual revenue from your portfolio by capturing new opportunities.
Maintain a comprehensive client footprint with essential information to deliver a superior client experience.
Monitor service level metrics and performance indicators, developing and implementing remedial actions as needed.
Identify opportunities to deliver Client Service excellence locally and regionally while effectively managing risks and issues.
Review client activity and existing solutions to identify improvements, such as reducing service queries, streamlining processes, and increasing wallet share by recommending new products.
Engage with client operational and Treasury teams, including Treasury Operations and IT, as needed.
Develop and deliver standard Client Service Reviews using key metrics like payment flows and rejection rates, working with clients and internal stakeholders to remediate and improve performance.

What We're Looking For

Strong knowledge of local and global cash management and clearing services, products, and techniques.
Ability to understand a customer’s business and the fundamentals of running a business.
Good level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural, and regulatory issues.
Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex product or technical information.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to thrive in a complex matrix environment with several stakeholders with differing goals and expectations.
Excellent time management, planning, and organization skills with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive tasks.
Mandarin language and writing skillset is required.

Team & Environment

Depending on the complexity and geography of the client, this role will either lead the client relationship or play a supporting role on a global squad covering the client.
