Segal McCambridge is looking for an Associate Attorney to join our collegial firm, focusing on third-party insurance coverage and bad faith matters for insurer clients. You'll build sophisticated coverage and litigation experience within a collaborative, well-supported team in the Insurance Coverage Group. This role offers significant case file autonomy complemented by mentorship and training from partners.

What You'll Do

Handle third-party insurance coverage and bad faith matters from inception through resolution.
Draft coverage opinions and reservation of rights letters.
Represent insurers in coverage litigation and related bad faith proceedings.
Analyze complex factual and legal issues and develop strategic recommendations.
Collaborate with experienced attorneys while taking ownership of assigned matters.

What We're Looking For

Active Florida law license in good standing.
At least 2 years of experience in third-party insurance coverage and bad faith matters.
Proven experience drafting coverage opinions and reservation of rights letters.
Strong litigation skills, including motion practice and discovery.
Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy abilities.
Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines efficiently.
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
Proven ability to deliver high-quality work product.
Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and within a team.

Nice to Have

Federal court experience.
