Prophet Security is hiring a Security Operations Engineer to help shape how AI is used within threat detection and response. Your investigations and workflows will directly shape Prophet AI's reasoning engine as you work alongside engineers and fellow practitioners to redefine security operations.
What You'll Do
- Help shape how AI is used within threat detection and response.
- Shape Prophet AI's reasoning engine through your investigations and workflows.
- Work alongside engineers and fellow practitioners to redefine security operations.
- Move between investigations, code, and customers.
- Unpack complex logs and refine response actions with teammates.
- Guide customers through investigations.
- Turn investigative processes into repeatable, scalable steps.
- Build detections that cut through noise.
- Design orchestration workflows and AI agents that scale.
- Craft prompts that teach AI to reason like an expert investigator.
What We're Looking For
- Experience operating in large enterprise, DFIR, or Managed Detection and Response environments.
- Proficiency investigating and responding to threats across endpoints, networks, SaaS apps, and cloud providers.
- Ability to think in workflows, not just alerts, and design investigations and responses that scale.
- Comfort writing code to support investigations or automation, using languages like Python or Go.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage customers and peers.
- A quality-first mindset for investigations.
- Curiosity and attention to detail.
Nice to Have
- Response orchestration experience, such as designing playbooks or automating workflows.
