The Security Integration Engineer integrates security patches and new features from Google and Qualcomm into Android systems. This role works closely with QA teams to identify and resolve regressions, ensuring security updates are delivered on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Incorporate security fixes from the Android Security Bulletin (ASB), Qualcomm Security Bulletin (QSB), and Qualcomm AMSS releases, then submit them for QA testing.
- Identify and resolve issues caused by security patches that lead to regressions, across security, master, and release branches.
- Monitor and manage integration timelines for ASB updates across two products, aiming to complete integration within ten calendar days of the ASB preview release.
- Improve existing Python-based project tools as needed to support future integration workflows.
Requirements
- 2 to 5 years of experience in Android security across multiple system layers.
- Strong knowledge of the Android platform architecture and core security principles.
- Background in C/C++ development for embedded environments.
- Proficiency in debugging using embedded tools and scripting with Python.
- Practical experience with the Linux kernel and Android system design.
- Familiarity with Git for source code management.
