Citizens Financial Group is looking for a Security Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of our security operations. You will create high-fidelity detections, automated response workflows, and data pipelines while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating across teams including internal audit and risk.
What You'll Do
- Define and lead security initiatives across all development and cloud teams.
- Define system security requirements, architecture, design, development, evaluation, certification, and accreditation for tactical systems.
- Support security business development and acquisition activities including proposal development, estimation, and technical evaluation responses.
- Apply risk management concepts to mitigate vulnerabilities in security architectures.
- Keep security content and software up to date utilizing proper change management processes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with security teams to ensure we are addressing security concerns at the right level.
- Share oversight of execution on all aspects of the design, development, integration, and test of the products.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive hands-on experience with Splunk (ES/SPL/Knowledge Objects).
- Hands-on experience or knowledge of Cribl (Stream/Edge/Cloud), CrowdStrike, Cisco, Palo Alto, Okta, AWS, Azure.
- Extensive knowledge of security logging.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, and communicate effectively.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience or knowledge of CSPM tooling, and AI logging and detection.
