Taktile is looking for a Security Engineer embedded in our Platform team to harden security and keep our platform safe from cybersecurity threats. This hands-on role involves building systems to ensure the platform remains resilient and trusted by customers.
What You'll Do
- Work on backend components written in Python and FastAPI, hosted on an AWS serverless architecture.
- Build and maintain cloud-native services.
- Engage actively in team rituals such as daily syncs, planning sessions, demos, and technical deep-dive discussions.
- Ship automation and services, catch threats early, and harden everything from cloud to code.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years in security engineering roles, ideally in cloud-native environments.
- Strong experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP security tools and best practices.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps and integrating security in CI/CD.
- Deep understanding of security controls, risk management, and compliance.
- Backend engineer/SRE experience (Python, Bash, Terraform, etc.).
- Strong engineering fundamentals with a passion for simplicity and precision.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Nice to Have
- Security certifications – e.g., CISSP, CKS, AWS Security.
