HITACHI ENERGY GERMANY AG is hiring a Security Champion to act as the Product Security Officer responsible for cybersecurity within a business unit. You will drive activities to protect the company's reputation and manage a global team of Product Security Engineers, focusing on release criteria, vulnerability management, and compliance.
What You'll Do
- Define a product’s cybersecurity release criteria and provide product security release clearance.
- Drive product-related activities to protect company reputation and business against cybersecurity risks.
- Support vulnerability management and incident handling processes for products.
- Drive awareness on cybersecurity risks, requirements, and compliance.
- Lead a global team of Product Security Engineers and interface with cybersecurity management, product management, and development teams.
- Manage IEC 62351 standardization, including status updates and driving standard parts based on stakeholder feedback.
- Formulate IEC 62351-14 cybersecurity event logging standard on behalf of the company.
- Manage IEC 62443 certification, driving and providing expert technical input for products to achieve certificates.
- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Risk Management.
- 5 years of experience in product development, engineering or similar.
- Knowledge of Windows/Red Hat OS hardening and security configurations.
- Knowledge of secure communication protocols (Kerberos, OpenSSL).
- Knowledge of system security, architecture & configuration.
- Hands-on development skills in C++, C#, PL/SQL.
- Background in cybersecurity threats and defense.
- Experience in risk assessment by threat modeling and industry standard frameworks.
- Knowledge of Secure Software Development Lifecycle.
- Knowledge of cybersecure architecture and design.

- Knowledge of processes, workflows and tools to deliver offerings.

Team & Environment
You will lead a global team of Product Security Engineers and report to the BU Cybersecurity Manager. The team is part of a global organization with offices in Houston, San Jose (CA.), Vasteras (Sweden) and Krakow (Poland).
