Schaeffler is hiring a Sales Engineer to join our humanoid robotics team. This role drives innovation by delivering advanced robotic solutions and leveraging sales engineering expertise to transform human-robot interaction. You will collaborate with industry experts, analyze market trends, and open new opportunities.
What You'll Do
- Carry out all sales activities to achieve commercial objectives for an assigned market segment or product line.
- Contribute to budget planning and plan your own revenues and customer prospects.
- Understand product strategy and consult clients on product applications and variances.
- Analyze market trends and report on technologies, customers, and competitors.
- Develop customer relationships and establish acquisition and negotiation boundaries.
- Align with cross-functional teams and contribute to budget planning.
- Prepare, conduct, and close negotiations on product, quantities, and pricing.
- Complete price breakdowns while working with industrial engineers.
- Monitor and report sales performance metrics for improvement.
- Manage projects that do not require dedicated engineering effort.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 3+ years of proven experience in generating new business, ideally within engineering or technology sectors.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles and physics relevant to robotics and vehicle systems.
- Hands-on knowledge of robotic or vehicle systems application and integration.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to identify market opportunities and drive growth.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster client relationships and close sales.
- Must have legal authorization to work in the US. This role does not offer visa sponsorship or support.
Nice to Have
- Preferably 5+ years of experience in automotive or robotics engineering environments.
- Practical experience with manufacturing cost analysis.
- Experience managing projects from inception to completion.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including effective delegation and team coordination.
