PATH (People Assisting the Homeless) is looking for a Safety Support Associate to proactively ensure our Interim Housing site is a safe, supportive environment for all staff, program participants, and visitors. In this mission-critical role, you will be the eyes and ears of the facility, building rapport with participants and providing direct assistance during crisis situations.
What You'll Do
- Assist with ensuring the overall safety of the interim housing site using observation, de-escalation strategies, and ongoing participant engagement.
- Coordinate with the on-site case management team to provide support.
- Coordinate with contracted security agencies (if applicable) to ensure site safety.
- Conduct regular rounds of the facility grounds, communicating any observed discrepancies or concerns.
- Respond to site security and crisis situations using non-violent crisis intervention and verbal de-escalation strategies.
- Assist with completing necessary reports as requested.
- Attend meetings and provide input related to safety and support operations.
- Attend and actively engage in all required training and staff meetings, applying learned skills to daily tasks.
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through service delivery, continued learning, and contributing to an inclusive work environment.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or required.
What We're Looking For
- All levels of experience and education welcome.
- Have employment eligibility verification.
- Have or be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid training.
- Able to successfully complete a Tuberculosis Test, Background Screening, and Drug Test.
- Have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, proof of insurance/ownership for personal vehicles used for work, and the ability to qualify for PATH's insurance coverage.

Nice to Have
