SAS is looking for a SaaS Software Engineer to join our Developer Experience Group. You will help build a world-class SaaS portfolio by creating the core frameworks and tools that ensure our solutions are developed to a high standard. In this role, you will have a pivotal impact on how we build, ship, test, and scale our SaaS products.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop high-quality, testable, and scalable software solutions within established timelines.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure implementations meet functional requirements and align with development standards.
- Participate in project scoping and scheduling, tracking progress and communicating any blocking issues.
- Maintain accountability for the entire life cycle of your code, including support for internal and external consumers.
- Contribute to open-source projects on behalf of SAS.
- Follow all applicable security policies to support secure software development goals.

What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- Five years of software development or programming experience.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming languages: C/C++ and Golang.
- Experience with Public Cloud Providers.
- Experience with container orchestration systems like Kubernetes and ECS.
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
Nice to Have
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
- Adaptability to change and a collaborative approach to making changes successful.
- A proactive mindset, taking initiative to achieve results.
- Understanding and experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions.
- Experience building customer-facing CI/CD SaaS applications.
- Understanding of Agile practices.
