Luumlash is hiring a Senior Robotics Software Engineer to apply robotics and AI in the beauty space. This role offers the opportunity to make significant contributions to the evolution of both the company and its technology on a lean but experienced engineering team.
What You'll Do
- Work on advancing robotic technology for applying eyelash extensions.
- Contribute to a system with highly customized actuation and machine vision.
- Solve unique engineering challenges on a newly deployed fourth-generation robotic system.
What We're Looking For
- MS or PhD in Computer Science, EE, or ME.
- 8+ years of object-oriented programming in a professional team environment using C++.
- Strong knowledge of Python.
- Experience with control and modeling of robotic manipulators and/or equivalent automation systems.
- Experience in ROS and associated libraries, especially for motion planning and collision modeling, or equivalents.
- Working knowledge of Linux.
- Knowledge of industry standard best practices for maintainable software design.
- Excellent debugging and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively on a small team of both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Deep experience with Linux.
- Experience with motor control and servo amplifiers.
- Experience with CUDA development or equivalent.
- General mechatronics background.
- Computer vision experience, especially stereoscopic computer vision.
