Bedrock Robotics Inc is hiring a Senior Robotics Application Engineer to act as the essential bridge between our advanced R&D lab and rugged construction sites. You will take autonomous excavators from code to real-world performance, translating development progress into moved dirt and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Lead the onsite deployment of autonomous excavators, defining equipment workflows to meet customer productivity goals.
- Run evaluations on site data to predict autonomous performance and validate release readiness.
- Debug complex issues across the entire system stack—from hydraulic sensors and compute hardware to high-level behavior.
- Collaborate with Partnerships to identify new customer sites aligning with the product roadmap.
- Translate technical details into value for customers, leading discussions on site progression and system integration.
What We're Looking For
- B.S. or M.S. in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in a technical role focused on deployment, field engineering, or autonomous systems.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with heavy machinery or mobile robotics.

- Sensors: Sensor fusion (LiDAR, GNSS, IMU), Computer vision
- Robotics Core: Motion planning, Controls
- Hardware Integration: Embedded systems, Electrical systems troubleshooting
- Tools: CAN bus communication, Industry debug tools, Data visualization and analytical tools
Team & Environment
You will collaborate with construction veterans, world-class engineers, and our Partnerships team. The team is composed of industry veterans from companies like Waymo, Segment, and Uber Freight, solving physical-world problems that simulations can't touch.
Work Mode
This is an onsite role. Possible locations include SF and NY.
