About the Role
This position supports the identification and resolution of risk-related issues in payment operations, working cross-functionally to maintain security, compliance, and smooth transaction processing.
Responsibilities
- Monitor transaction activity for signs of fraud or policy violations
- Investigate and resolve escalated risk cases
- Collaborate with compliance and product teams to implement risk controls
- Analyze patterns in payment data to identify emerging risks
- Support onboarding and monitoring of merchant partners
- Respond to internal and external audit requests
- Maintain accurate records of risk assessments and actions taken
- Help refine risk detection rules and escalation workflows
- Evaluate new account applications for risk exposure
- Assist in developing operational playbooks for risk scenarios
- Track key risk metrics and report on trends
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and policy standards
- Provide input on system changes affecting risk operations
- Work with engineering to improve fraud detection tools
- Support incident response during security or compliance events
- Conduct due diligence on high-risk transactions
- Escalate critical findings to senior risk staff
- Improve operational efficiency within risk workflows
- Stay current on industry fraud trends and threat vectors
