Responsibilities
- Creates 3D character rigs and animation interface controls for skeletal motion systems and body/facial deformations
- Writes utility scripts and core software tools to streamline the character set up process
- Meets schedules and show deadlines
- Participates in dailies, rounds and team reviews of work in progress
- Interacts with production, supervisors and team/peers to problem solve and share information related to show/assigned tasks
- Deciphers and follows through on work in progress, dailies, briefings/notes and feedback
- Works efficiently as part of a team or independently on rigging projects
Requirements
- Knowledge of applicable software platforms including LINUX, UNIX, Maya, Mudbox, shell, and MEL scripting language
- Must be able to decipher as well as follow through on work in progress, dailies, briefings/notes and feedback
- Must be able to work efficiently as part of a team or independently on rigging projects
Nice to Have
- Python is a plus
- Background or experience in fine art
- Thorough understanding of physical motion, weight, balance and form
- Most desired 2 year diploma or 1 year certificate
