About the Role

Arsenale Bioyards is hiring a Research Scientist in Probabilistic Modelling. In this role, you will lead projects involving the application of machine learning solutions across diverse domains within the company, working from the Data and AI team.

What You'll Do

  • Lead projects involving the application of machine learning solutions across diverse domains within the company.
  • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, from fermentation scientists to microbiologists, to bring data-driven perspectives to complex problems.
  • Communicate with non-technical stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

  • PhD in machine learning, computer vision, NLP or related fields.
  • Excellent proficiency in Python and PyTorch.
  • Scientific curiosity about applying machine learning to real-world challenges.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in delivering work in cross-functional teams.
  • Impactful publications.
  • Experience with probabilistic programming frameworks (e.g. Pyro, pymc, Stan, etc.).
  • Background in stochastic processes.
