Responsibilities
- Report Quality Assurance ( approx. 60% of your time) Review APAC reports before publication, ensuring claims, data, and market narratives reflect regional reality with precision and depth
- Partner with our global writing team to set the context before drafting begins — sharing local market knowledge, consumer trends, and competitive dynamics
- Maintain the high data standards our clients rely on, keeping market sizing, product tracking, and consumer data accurate and regionally representative
- Be the expert voice that ensures every APAC report meets our quality bar before it reaches a client
- Regional Network Development (approx. 20%) Build and maintain a strong network of market intelligence contacts across China, Japan, and Southeast Asia
- Work closely with our data team to uphold data quality standards across the region, including market coverage and product tracking
- Client Engagement (approx. 20%) Present APAC research findings directly to clients, bringing the regional expertise and credibility that makes our insights valuable
- Attend key regional trade shows and industry events
- Support business development by bringing regional expertise into client conversations
Requirements
- 3–6 years of experience in market research, consumer insights, or category management within F&B, FMCG, or a related industry in Asia
- Strong knowledge of at least two or three APAC markets — ideally including China, Japan, or Southeast Asia — and an understanding of how they differ from one another
- Fluent English and at least one Asian language; Mandarin is strongly preferred
- Comfortable reviewing and critiquing analytical reports written by others, and giving clear, constructive feedback
- Confident presenting research findings to international clients and senior stakeholders
- Organized and detail-oriented — able to manage multiple reports and deadlines simultaneously
- A background in regional knowledge and quality assurance rather than full report writing — the value you bring is expertise, rigour, and client-facing confidence
Nice to Have
- Experience working with syndicated data platforms
- Familiarity with foodservice or out-of-home eating research
- Existing industry contacts in F&B, FMCG, or retail across APAC
- Experience in a cross-border or multi-market research role
