Job Summary The Research Manager collaborates closely with leadership to ensure organizational alignment and consistency. This role provides strategic oversight of Technology & User Support, Teaching & Certification, and Instructional Design & Educational Advances teams, along with the Quality Assurance Specialist. The Deputy Director also facilitates collaboration with the Precision Analytics team to integrate data and evaluation efforts across initiatives. The Research Manager additionally partners with Research & Contracts Administration to synchronize contractual and financial processes throughout the organization. Responsibilities - Provide leadership and oversight for Technology & User Support, Teaching & Certification, and Instructional Design teams, plus Quality Assurance Specialist. - Manage and support team leads, encouraging collaboration, accountability, and professional development. - Coordinate cross-team projects to harmonize processes, workflows, and deliverables. - Interface with internal HR supports on staffing, onboarding, compliance, and personnel management. - Partner with Research & Contracts Administration to align HR, contractual, and financial processes with operational requirements. - Serve as communication bridge between leadership, team leads, and external partners. - Provide strategic guidance and problem-solving for operational challenges. - Monitor organizational performance and provide regular updates and recommendations. - Lead development and review of operational policies, standard operating procedures, and systems to improve consistency and efficiency. - Represent the organization in meetings and initiatives during leadership's absence. - Manages research professionals and support staff involved with planning, monitoring, and research project compliance. - Develops goals and operating procedures, practices, and guidelines based on departmental strategy. - Manages laboratory facilities, including equipment procurement, maintenance, and repair. - Reviews research, potentially conducts independent research, edits and approves articles, reports, and manuscripts. - Presents research findings at meetings and conferences. - Manages research processes in clinical and non-clinical settings. - Utilizes computer programming for data storage, processing, and analysis. - Performs additional related work as needed. Minimum Qualifications Education: College or university degree in related field. Work Experience: 7+ years of professional experience in related discipline. Certifications: None specified. Preferred Qualifications Education: - Advanced degree. Experience: - Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and project management platforms. - Proven leadership and management experience in research operations or program administration.
