Durham University’s Department of Computer Science is seeking a Research Assistant or Associate to join the RoboRoyale project. You will develop a micro-robotic feeding system—an artificial bee—as a biohybrid platform to interact with queen bees. Your primary work on the mechatronic design and feeding mechanism will be conducted in our robotics lab in Durham, UK, with subsequent deployment for biological experiments at our partner site in Graz, Austria.
What You'll Do
- Undertake research as appropriate to the field of study, including conducting literature reviews and collecting and analyzing data.
- Maintain accurate records of interviews, safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects as necessary.
- Provide ready access to all experimental data for the faculty researcher and supervisor.
- Prepare articles, reports, and presentations.
- Manage and respond to project-related email.
- Attend project meetings, seminars, and other meetings as necessary.
