About the Role
This role involves delivering psychiatric evaluations, diagnosing mental health conditions, and managing medication treatment for patients via telehealth. The psychiatrist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care and use electronic health records to maintain accurate patient documentation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric assessments through virtual visits
- Diagnose and treat a range of mental health disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans for patients
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care as needed
- Maintain up-to-date electronic medical records
- Collaborate with therapists and care coordinators
- Respond to patient messages within established timeframes
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and standards
- Participate in team meetings and case reviews
- Provide crisis intervention when necessary
- Follow state and federal telehealth regulations
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives
- Support patient education and engagement
- Uphold patient confidentiality and privacy standards
