About the Role
This position involves providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosing mental health conditions, and managing treatment plans for patients via telehealth. The practitioner will work independently while supported by a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric assessments and diagnostic evaluations through virtual platforms
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications following clinical guidelines
- Document patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner
- Collaborate with care coordinators and other healthcare providers
- Maintain compliance with federal and state telehealth regulations
- Provide crisis intervention and risk assessment as needed
- Engage in ongoing patient follow-up and progress evaluation
- Adhere to ethical standards and patient confidentiality protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team meetings
Nice to Have
- Experience in telepsychiatry or virtual care settings
- Exposure to diverse patient populations including adolescents or older adults
- Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities
- Training in trauma-informed care
- Background in integrated or primary care behavioral health
