EX Squared is looking for a Remote Lead Backend Engineer to own the technical architecture and delivery of our core backend services. You will be responsible for leading the technical direction of projects, mentoring engineers, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our systems.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of robust and scalable backend services
- Own the technical architecture for key product features and systems
- Mentor and guide other engineers, fostering technical growth and best practices
- Collaborate with product and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Ensure high standards of code quality, testing, and system observability
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Lead Backend Engineer or similar role, with a track record of shipping complex systems
- Expert-level proficiency in designing and scaling distributed systems
- Strong mentoring and technical leadership abilities
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative and pragmatic approach
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment
