GEM Technologies, Inc. is hiring a Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical liaison among Production, Engineering, Projects, and Maintenance teams, offering expert guidance to improve equipment design and operational dependability.
  • Play a key part in enhancing asset performance by applying forward-looking maintenance practices that reduce breakdowns and extend equipment life.
  • Formulate and assist in executing recommendations that improve the reliability and serviceability of machinery, processes, infrastructure, and control systems.
  • Deliver technical reliability support to operations, production, infrastructure, and field maintenance staff.
  • Collect, assess, and interpret data related to Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Inspectability (RAMI) for facilities and equipment.
  • Evaluate technical documentation outlining system reliability, accessibility, maintainability, and inspection features, including manuals, datasheets, and engineering justifications.
  • Take the lead in aligning project deliverables with plant-wide RAMI requirements.
  • Create and implement predictive maintenance strategies for critical structures, systems, and components.
  • Conduct failure mode assessments and root cause analyses to identify sources of equipment failure.
  • Perform trend analysis on system and component performance to anticipate and prevent failures.
  • Establish, refine, and oversee Asset Management Plans for physical assets across operations.
  • Deploy condition-based monitoring and non-destructive evaluation techniques to detect reliability issues prior to failure.
  • Conduct and present RAMI and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) studies to internal departments and external engineering collaborators.
  • Analyze labor allocation, critical spare parts needs, proactive maintenance plans, failure rates, MTBF, MTTR, and lifecycle costs as part of reliability assessments.
