About the Role

APAC Mississippi, Inc., a CRH company, is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to maximize sales of targeted products and uncover new opportunities across Eastern Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing new accounts, and maintaining key relationships. You will work closely with the Commercial Director to execute regional sales strategies using dedicated internal and external teams.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a team of external Outside Sales Representatives to drive new business and grow existing accounts.
  • Achieve or exceed planned sales levels for all products and services within targeted market segments and accounts.
  • Conduct sales calls to implement account and market strategies developed with the Regional Sales Director.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge to act in a consultative role, helping customers order, install, and add value with our products.
  • Assist in training customer sales organizations as required.
  • Implement regional strategic sales plans to accommodate sales goals.
  • Manage to the budget and forecast for the region.
  • Review market analyses and respond to customer needs in a focused, service-oriented manner.
  • Provide market-based pricing using market feedback and industry knowledge.
  • Manage all selling expenses within established travel & expense budgets.
  • Provide direction to customer service representatives in support of customer needs.

What We're Looking For

  • A degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • 3+ years of sales management experience in a telecom environment.
  • Strong business and financial acumen for sound, profitable sales decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate across multiple levels with service providers, contractors, engineers, subcontractors, and distribution.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Salesforce.com.
  • A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites within the defined region.

Nice to Have

  • Previous distribution in Telecom or CommData sales experience.

Team & Environment

You will manage a team of external Outside Sales Representatives and report to the Commercial Director / Regional Sales Director.
