About the Role
The Regional Director of Supply Chain - Central leads end-to-end supply operations across multiple locations, ensuring efficient procurement, distribution, and inventory control while aligning with national strategy and supporting high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Lead supply chain operations for the central region, ensuring timely delivery of medical and operational supplies
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize vendor relationships and reduce costs
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to forecast supply needs
- Monitor inventory levels and recommend adjustments to prevent shortages or overstocking
- Oversee logistics and distribution networks to ensure service reliability
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards across all supply activities
- Manage vendor contracts and performance evaluations
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to standardize supply chain processes
- Support system-wide integration of supply chain systems and technologies
- Drive sustainability efforts within procurement and logistics operations
- Respond to supply disruptions with contingency planning and rapid resolution
- Mentor and develop supply chain staff across the region
- Establish key performance indicators and report on supply chain metrics
- Ensure alignment with national supply chain strategy while addressing regional needs
- Coordinate with finance teams on budget planning and cost control
- Evaluate new suppliers and onboard them following due diligence procedures
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
- Liaise with legal and compliance teams on contract and regulatory matters
- Support emergency preparedness and disaster response supply planning
- Facilitate training for end users on supply chain systems and protocols
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and reporting
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging supply chain technologies
- Represent the organization at regional and national supply chain forums
- Ensure ethical sourcing and supplier diversity initiatives are upheld
